What the Declaration of Human Rights does not mention, but which is basically its main claim, is the right to SEE. SEEING forces us to be clear, and in this dense clarity inevitably this defeat. SEEING assures the continuity of the movement of the revolution. SEEING abolishes the old opposition between inside and outside, the old hierarchy between the physical and the spiritual. SEEING is never defeated. SEEING tears, unmasks, uproots, it is a battle between the I-that-is-everything and the self-that-discovers, between convention and vivacity. SEEING tears apart the conformity that has divided us, and reality appears and, instead of power, there is love.
